Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Recordable (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Recordable provides workflow documentation software that allows you to record screen-based workflows, generate AI-powered step-by-step guides, and share or export those guides. The Service includes a web application and a desktop recording agent.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Record or upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload malicious software or attempt to compromise the security of the Service
• Share access credentials or allow unauthorized third parties to use your account
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to collect personal data of others without their consent
• Exceed rate limits or abuse API access in a manner that degrades the Service for others

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, record, and upload to the Service (“Your Content”). This includes workflow recordings, generated guides, screenshots, and any text you add or edit.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes processing Your Content through AI services to generate documentation and translations.

We do not claim ownership over Your Content and will not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service, unless you explicitly share it publicly.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate step descriptions, annotations, and translations. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before publishing or sharing it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated outputs.

The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Pricing is displayed on our Pricing page and may change with 30 days notice. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, all Your Content and personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. In case of termination for cause, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to export Your Content.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Recordable shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recordable from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the courts of Brussels, Belgium. Nothing in these Terms shall limit your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
